Prestigious Investment Bank Seeks Associate - Restructuring Our client is a Global Investment Bank seeking a class of 2009 or 2010 Associate to join their Financial Restructuring Group in NY The firm’s Restructuring Group is a recognized leader in Financial Restructuring and as such, requires a qualified, motivated associate with prior restructuring and Leveraged Finance (or similar) experience. The group is a smaller team and Associates are members of deal teams comprising a managing director, vice president, associate and financial analyst. There is typically greater responsbility given to Associates on this team than one would normally expect in a Bulge Bracket Investment Bank. This is a unique opportunity to work in a bulge bracket investment bank within a group that will very much feel like a boutique. The Fin Tech team is a subsector team of the Financial Institutions Group. The bankers on the team are located in New York, San Francisco & Los Angeles. The MD in San Francisco is seeking an associate to work closely with themselves on these transactions which are M&A and equity financing oriented. The Managing Director has a strong track record in this and the technology world. In their past, they worked with both Frank Quattrone & Bill Hambrecht. Aside from the traditional Associate responsibilities, this associate will be expected to review industry trends and activity to develop ideas for transactions and potential clients, reach out to potential clients and assist in developing relationships with new clients. To be considered for this role you must already be an investment banking associate with technology experience.
